Your neighborhood energy advisors.
We are a small team outside DC that keeps buildings on the right side of energy rules and keeps their energy bills honest. Boards, managers, and owners call us when a notice shows up, and we stay on it until it is closed out.
Ten years, over a thousand buildings, and a real person on the phone every time.
Our resident melon. He winks because compliance genuinely is not that scary once somebody else takes the wheel.
The people who pick up the phone.
Small enough that whoever answers already knows your building. Credentialed enough to sign the work that needs signing.
Julian founded Honeydew ten years ago on a hunch that somebody should stand between a building's board and a compliance regime written without them in mind. Nearly 2,000 buildings later, across markets from the DMV to the West Coast, that hunch has become a national practice with a stubborn heart in community associations, condos and co-ops whose volunteer boards were never the buildings the rules had in mind. He also co-chairs the Condo/Co-op Subcommittee of the DC BEPS Task Force, so when regulations get written he is in the room arguing that a 200-unit building run by a volunteer treasurer is not a Fortune 500 campus. Off the clock: gardening, dancing, and food spicy enough to worry his family.
Andrew, or "AZ" to his friends, is a co-founder who has worked in solar since 2009. Strengths: creative problem solving, DMV energy policy, financial modeling. Weaknesses: tacos, long board games, and C-Span. He published "A Clear Guide to Solar PV Design and Installation," ran Infinite Solar in Philadelphia, and served as a Sr. Energy Advisor at Nextility. MPA, University of Albany. Free time: hiking with his dogs in Rock Creek Park and designing board games.
Rozi comes to Honeydew from shipping and logistics, with twelve years as a trade manager for an international shipping line across the Mediterranean, North Africa, and West Africa, assessing new markets and keeping operations running in every country served. She is strong in teamwork, problem solving, and analytical thinking, which is exactly what a multi-jurisdiction filing calendar asks for. Outside of work she is in nature or reading.
David is passionate about the environment and driven to improve the sustainability and efficiency of DC buildings. His marketing background from Towson University and sales practice across several fields give him a firm grasp of modern business fundamentals. In his free time he follows the NBA closely and cheers on the DC teams, and he is an avid basketball player, snowboarder, and card player.

With a strong foundation in both professional and personal gaming pursuits, he blends creativity, strategy, and relationship-building in his approach, and his enthusiasm for innovation makes him a natural fit for the Honeydew mission. Outside of work: new countries, the gym, and the latest in gaming and tech.
